| Sikles
village, the largest Gurung village in Nepal, celebrates
Mage Sakranti each year. Many people from the adjacent
villages as well as people from city area particularly
from Pokhara travel to this village during this festival.
Mhaudu and Phaimakyu are the religious sites in this
village where all local people and visitors go to
worship the god early in the morning on the first
day of Magh Month. There are sacred Dhunge Dharas
(spring water taps) and all pilgrimages take shower
before worshiping the god in these taps. |
